Hacker:

Hacker is a term used by some to mean "a clever programmer" and by others, especially those in popular media, to mean "someone who tries to break into computer systems.Hacker is a term that has been used to mean a variety of different things in computing. Depending on the context although, the term could refer to a person in any one of several distinct (but not completely disjointed) communities and subcultures.

A person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access to data is also known as Hacker.

White hat hacker:

The term "white hat" in Internet slang refers to an ethical computer hacker, or a computer security expert, who specializes in penetration testing and in other testing methodologies to ensure the security of an organization's information systems

A white-hat hacker who finds a security vulnerability would disclose it to the developer, allowing them to patch their product and improve its security before it's compromised. A grey hat may refer to an individual who acts in a variety of IT-related areas. In the hacking community, this metaphorical title refers to a skilled hacker whose activities fall somewhere between white and black hat hackers in a variety of practices.

Very few things in life are clear black-and-white categories. In reality, there's often a gray area. A gray-hat hacker falls somewhere between a black hat and a white hat. A gray hat doesn't work for their own personal gain or to cause carnage, but they may technically commit crimes and do arguably unethical things. read more.

A black hat hacker is an individual with extensive computer knowledge whose purpose is to breach or bypass internet security. Black hat hackers are also known as crackers or dark-side hackers. The general view is that, while hackers build things, crackers break things.
